Men’s Non-No is the menswear offshoot of a Japanese womenswear magazine simply called Non-No. The first issue was released in 1987 and featured the best looks from different designers, both big and small, from Japan and the rest of the world. Recently I’ve gotten a few issues of them from 1997 which I’ll be progressively scanning and uploading here. I started with This issue, April of 1997, mainly because of how long it is and I wanted to get it out of the way. This issue is about 320 pages long and full of unique editorials and features on the best menswear, watches, accessories, and even a bit of streetwear in the mix. This first editorial features looks from designers such as Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, and Raf Simons as well as others that I’m not too familiar with like Annelies Braeckman or Fabio Piras. My favorite outfits have to be the Raf Simons looks from his S/S97 collection “Teenage Summercamp” with runner-ups being the Helmut Lang denim jacket and McQueen button-up.
**Friendly reminder that if you enjoy or appreciate the scans I upload, it would mean a lot if you became a paid subscriber as it really helps me source and scan new content to share!**
