Hiroshi Fujiwara Adjustment 'Family Chart' Playlist!
Alright, going to try and keep this one short and sweet. Hiroshi Fujiwara’s ‘Adjustment’ was an article series featured monthly in CUTiE magazine in the early 90’s. The articles primarily featured images of items of clothing, everything from Seditionaries to Stüssy, movie memorabilia and other knick knacks that he was interested in. Fujiwara was DJ’ing a lot at this point in his career and was always on the hunt for new music to listen to or use in his sets. In ‘Adjustment’, Fujiwara included a section called ‘Family Chart’ in which he would select his 10 favorite records at the moment starting in January 1992 and ending in January 1995. It’s taken me much longer than I’m willing to admit but I have meticulously created a Spotify playlist that includes most of his selections in the same order as he announced them. Unfortunately, some songs or projects were not on Spotify and others I wasn’t able to find info anywhere besides Discogs. The playlist is extensive and features a ton of classic 70’s Jazz, Soul, 90’s Hip Hop, and R&B. Hope you enjoy, and please feel free to message me, @DampMagazines on Instagram if you are able to find any missing tracks!
