Me,
Takayuki Kubo… I’ve been a writer for four months now. Earning a meager 100,000 yen a month, not much, but I spend most of it on clothes, so I guess I pay quite a bit of attention to fashion.
Lately, though, there's something that's been bothering me. While flipping through street fashion magazines, I occasionally see the letter "G" — and after reading more closely, I found out it’s a brand called Good Enough. According to the magazines, it's a pretty popular brand with a massive influence, and supposedly, there’s not a young person in town who doesn’t know about it...
What a shock! Here I am, someone who prides himself on being stylish, and I didn’t even know about it. Before word spreads too much, I’ve got to jump on this and wear it quickly!
So began my long, long journey to find Good Enough. But at first, I didn’t expect it to take so long. I figured, being such a well-known brand, I’d find it easily.
But after two weeks, I still couldn’t find a store that carried Good Enough. Even the Marui in Kichijoji, where I usually shop, didn’t have it... Why is it so hard to find, even though it’s all over the magazines? At this point, I’m determined to find it, no matter what! Since I couldn’t figure it out just by walking around town, I decided to read magazines like Boon and Asayan, which are popular with young people.
It turns out that Good Enough belongs to the Ura-Harajuku scene. But where exactly can I buy it? Still no clue... Magazines can be pretty unreliable.
