I’ve been super interested in graffiti even from a young age but always just as an appreciator and spectator because I sucked with a can. It was books like Street World and others that really inspired and paved the way on my young impressionable mind. Now that I’ve gotten older my collection has only gotten bigger.
It was always the 80s and 90s graffiti that interested me the most as artists were developing new styles and techniques. Something about seeing NYC subway cars painted in full, which never happens today, astounded me. This issue of Flashback Magazine from 1994 is the NYC special issue which features interviews from Shame125, Lords Of Brooklyn, Ban2, and Cope2. Unfortunately, the interview with Henry Chalfant was TORN OUT of this issue which I’m so annoyed by. I guess I’ll have to get another copy.. Also included are rare full color pieces from artists such as SEEN, MIN, REAS, GHOSTY, KAZE, WEST, DASH FC, CRACK, LOOMIT, and many more! Don’t miss out!
